Three habits I keep coming back to.

Start with research, not assumptions.
Most design problems are research problems wearing a Figma costume. I spend the front half of every engagement with users, support tickets, and the team.

Learn early, polish confidently.
The best ideas rarely appear in high fidelity. I sketch, iterate, and test early so every design decision is grounded in purpose before a single polished screen is created.

Ship the boring half.
Empty states, errors, settings, microcopy — the surfaces nobody screenshots. They're where trust actually lives.
